A great playground is more than a tall set in the middle of the lawn. It is a plan for how kids move, how adults watch, where the sun lands and how the area fits the rest of the yard.
Our design service looks at the whole space. We measure, map the safe zones, mix equipment for your ages and interests and plan the surface, borders, shade and seating so the playground works well on day one and as the kids grow.
What a design covers
Layout and clearances, the mix of equipment, the age range, traffic flow around the area and sightlines from the house or patio. We also consider drainage, trees, utilities and access for a crew.
You get a plan you can react to, adjust and approve before the build begins.
Designing for growth
Kids grow fast. A good plan leaves room for a taller tower, a climbing wall or ninja rungs later, and puts toddler features where they can be retired or converted.
It also thinks about the adult side: a bench, a picnic table or a shaded corner to watch from.

- You are planning in phases
Worth knowing
- Design needs accurate measurements of the yard

Good questions about playground design.
Do I need a design if I am buying a kit?
A layout plan still helps with clearances, surface and placement, even for a kit.
Can you plan around existing equipment?
Yes. We can build the plan around a set you already own.
Can I see the design in 3D?
You can try our online Custom Playground Builder to play with a design before we talk.
