A climbing wall builds strength, balance and problem-solving. On a swing set tower, it is an exciting way up that is a little more challenging than a ladder.
We add rock walls to new and existing sets, choose angles and grip layouts for the ages of the kids and combine them with ropes, nets and ladders to build routes with different challenge levels.
Designing a good wall
Angle, grip size and spacing make the difference. A gentle angle with large holds suits little climbers, and steeper angles with smaller holds add challenge for older kids.
Grips can be rearranged to create new routes, so the wall grows with the child.
Safe climbing
Height, surfacing and supervision matter. A wall sized for the age group, with a deep surface below and a clear zone around, makes climbing safer.
We also plan so that kids who climb cannot easily bump into swing paths or slide exits.
