Play is for everyone. An inclusive playground goes beyond a ramp: it offers a range of ways to move, touch, see and hear, so children of different abilities can play side by side.
We plan accessible routes, surfaces and equipment, and we mix in sensory and social play so the whole space welcomes more kids.
Beyond compliance
Accessibility rules set a floor. Inclusive design asks how to make the space enjoyable. That means wide ramps to raised decks, accessible swings, ground-level play, quiet spaces and clear sightlines.
We discuss requirements like the ADA and local codes with you and design for them.
Surfaces and routes
A firm, stable, accessible surface such as poured rubber or tiles is key. Routes between play areas, seating and parking should be wide and smooth.
Good drainage and edges prevent barriers from forming over time.
