Most problems with swing sets start with the ground. A slope, soft spot or poor drainage can tilt a frame, collect water or make a safe surface impossible.
We clear, level and grade play areas, deal with minor slopes, build bases for surfacing and help plan drainage so the set is stable from day one.
What site prep includes
Removing sod, roots and rocks, leveling the footprint, setting a firm base, adding a border and sloping the surrounding ground away from the set.
On sloped yards we may cut and fill, build a terrace or use a stepped design so the structure is level.
Before we dig
We locate utilities and check for easements. We also look at where water flows and where it will go once the set is in place.
On bigger projects, a small skid steer and laser level make precise work fast.

Is it right for your family?
A good fit when
- Your yard is sloped or uneven
- Water collects where the set will go
- You are building a larger playground
- You want a firm base for surfacing
Worth knowing
- Utilities must be located before digging
- Big slopes may need retaining walls
- Wet weather delays grading work
- Tree roots may limit options
Good questions about site prep and grading.
Can you build on a slope?
Yes. We level, terrace or design the set to step with the slope.
Do I need to level the whole yard?
No, only the play area and the zone around it.
Will you handle drainage?
We plan and install simple drainage and refer larger issues to the right trade.
