Stain and sealer are the sunscreen of a wooden swing set. They slow down graying, resist water and keep the wood from drying out and cracking.
We clean, prep and apply a finish suited to your wood and climate, and we choose products made for outdoor play equipment.
Prep matters most
A finish is only as good as the surface under it. We wash away dirt and mildew, let the wood dry and sand rough spots before applying the product.
New wood may need time before it will absorb a finish well, and we advise on timing.
Choosing a finish
Semi-transparent stains show the grain and add color. Clear sealers keep a natural look but may need more frequent renewal. Solid stains offer the most color and protection.
We talk through the trade-offs and show you samples.
