Themed Playsets: Castles, Pirate Ships and Rocket Ships
Castles, pirate ships, rocket ships and whole imaginary worlds, built right in the backyard.
- Custom Builds
- Design to install
- Free estimate

Some kids do not want a swing set. They want a castle, a pirate ship or a rocket ready for launch. Themed playsets turn the play structure into a story with towers, flags, wheels, portholes and slides that fit the world.
We build themed playgrounds from custom wood, paint and details, and we plan the structure so the story never gets in the way of safe, comfortable play.
Choosing a theme
Popular themes include castles with turrets, pirate ships with decks and cannons, rocket ships with silver slides, jungle forts and western outposts. Colors, signs and props can match your child’s favorite story.
Themes can be built in or added as accessories, so they can be changed as interests change.
Safe fun inside the story
Railings, steps, openings and platform heights still follow safe design. Props such as steering wheels or telescopes are placed so they add fun without creating hazards.
Paint and finishes are chosen for outdoor use and are easy to refresh.

Worth knowing
- Themed builds involve more design and finishing time
- Paint and props need periodic touch-ups
- A theme can limit later layout changes
- Heights and decorations may be restricted by neighborhood rules
Good questions about themed and castle playsets.
Can you build a space-themed playground?
Yes. Rocket ships, planet climbers and star details are some of our favorites.
Can a theme be changed later?
Props, flags and colors can be updated, and the frame stays the same.
Is it more expensive than a regular set?
Themed builds usually take more design and finishing work, and we talk through the scope when you ask for an estimate.
